   Faces of Culture embraces cultures from all continents, highlights major human subsistence patterns, and illustrates human adaptation to environment from the beginning of human history to the present. Individual studies enable viewers to experience cultures in depth, while more general multi-cultural programs promote cross-culture comparisons and analysis of general themes. Students who formally received credit for the EX1 section of 113:136/175:136 Applied Anthropology (Faces of Culture) may not subsequently enroll in this course. Section EXW is reserved for off-campus students.

   Primate Behavior (Dual listed with 550X). An introduction to the Order Primates with a focus on their behavior. Biological and social adaptations of monkeys, apes and prosimians will be explored as well as basic evolutionary concepts, current trends and theories in the field of Primatology, and issues related to primate conservation. There will be parts of this class streamed from Senegal, Africa. This class is available for registration at this time. You may register in AccessPlus or by other convenient methods.

Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Biology

Computer Requirements: Internet and email access, WebCT compliant browser

Note: May be applied toward Bachelor of Liberal Studies (natural sciences group of the general education requirements or distribution area of natural sciences and mathematics or social sciences)
