4-H'ers interested in applying for individual, project, or top county awards should visit the 4-H Awards webpage to find award information, applications, and helpful hints. All award applications are due to the Story County Extension Office by September 15.

In July, the Story County Youth Fair will have been at the present Nevada location for 75 years.  Prior to  1940, the countywide 4-H shows were held in such places as the Ames Highway Commission, Ames field House, Nevada sales barn, churches, and the Tri-County Fair at Story City.  In 1939, interest was generated for a permanent location.

Anyone who is carrying out an educational program or activity which benefits the 4-H Youth of Story County may apply for a Story County 4-H Foundation Grant. 4-H youth or adult volunteers may also request financial assistance for skill development and/or
