4-H Youth Development empowers children (K – 3) and youth (4 – 12) to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults.  4-H positive youth development programming provides opportunities for young people to become competent, caring, contributing, confident, and connected citizens with character. Youth camps, trips, and scholarships are also available.

There are over 25 4-H Clubs in Story County to choose from! 

Register online at Iowa 4-H Online or complete the paper forms and return to the Story County Extension Office.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sleep near wild animals?  5th and 6th grade 4-H members from four counties (Boone, Greene, Marshall & Story) are invited to participate in a campout at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska.

This scholarship will be for $500 to $1000. Candidates must submit a completed application by April 18, 2014. The
Story County Master Gardeners Association (SCMGA) will select and announce the scholarship winner in May.

Anyone who is carrying out an educational program or activity which benefits the 4-H Youth of Story County may apply for a Story County 4-H Foundation Grant. 4-H youth or adult volunteers may also request financial assistance for skill development and/or
