The Iowa Energy Center has published three free resources. Filled with everyday energy-saving tips, the Home Series collection describes many ways to drastically ease the demands of heating and electric bills. Titles include:
- Home Tightening, Insulation and Ventilation
- Home Heating and Cooling
- Water Heating
Free copies of the books are available in .pdf format from the Home Series Web site. Alternatively, Iowans may request a paper copy by e-mailing the Iowa Energy Center at iec@energy.iastate.edu or calling (515) 294-8819. Booklets are also available through ISU Extension offices as part of Extension's 100+ year tradition of bringing the resources of Iowa State to the people of Iowa in practical ways.
The Iowa Energy Center continues its dedication to supporting research and demonstration projects that have a practical impact on residential energy efficiency. A fourth book, Major Appliances, will be added to the Home Series in January 2007.
