Description:
Students blast off to learning as they play with toys, observing how the toys perform on earth and predicting how these same toys would perform in the micro gravity of space. The youth scientists can judge the accuracy of their predictions when they watch a videotape of astronauts playing with these same toys in space.
Format:
The Toys in Space curriculum is available in two levels for grades 2-4 and grades 5-7. The curriculum includes:
- teaching strategies
- a master supply list and resource information
- micro gravity background information and demonstrations
- student activity sheets (Activities are included for students to make their own toys as well as activities for purchased toys.)
- physics background information
