Clover Kids is for youth in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. The coordinator is Eldon Bensen. E-mail ebensen@iastate.edu4-H is for youth in grades 4-12. Coordinator is Mary Wilkins. E-mail mwilkins@iastate.edu.

E-mail Mary or Eldon your questions about Clover Kids or 4-H. If you include your address they can mail 4-H/Clover Kid information to you. They are happy to help you find a club based on the age of your children and your families needs and interests.

Clover Kids provide an opportunity for youth to come together for activities. 4-H provides additional opportunity for youth to explore their interests independently and/or through their local 4-H club. Clubs meet monthly and many Clover Kid Clubs are already connected to a 4-H Club. It is a nice convenience for busy families to go to one location for the monthly meeting and activity for both 4-H and Clover Kids. There is an annual membership fee of $5 for each Clover Kid and $30 for each 4-H’er all payable to ISU Extension – Story County.  Financial Assistance is available.  And for newly formed Clover Kids/ 4-H clubs, the membership fee of brand new 4-H/ Clover Kid members is sponsored by the Story County 4-H Foundation during the club's first year.

To learn more, read the Clover Kids brochure or 4-H brochure.

Volunteer opportunities are available too for adults. Adults can be a club leader or assistant club leader for a new or current 4-H club, offer a project learning process as a project leader for a club or the county, host a 4-H display, serve on a county 4-H committee, help with a county 4-H event like the award application process or the communication contest, serve as a county fair superintendent, etc. A volunteer role can be matched up with your interest and time availability. Volunteers must complete the ISU Extension Child Protection and Safety Program packet and if approved become appointed 4-H volunteers by the ISU Extension – Story County Extension Council.
