June 3, 2015

In July, the Story County Youth Fair will have been at the present Nevada location for 75 years.  Prior to  1940, the countywide 4-H shows were held in such places as the Ames Highway Commission, Ames field House, Nevada sales barn, churches, and the Tri-County Fair at Story City.  In 1939, interest was generated for a permanent location.

A Babysitting Basics Class on Friday, June 19th at the Story County ISU Extension and Outreach office located at 220 H Avenue in Nevada for youth in grades 5th-6th.

Boone, Hardin, Marshall, and Story County Junior 4-H members who are completing 4th, 5th, or 6th grades are invited to the Race to Which Camp!Tri-County Junior 4-H Camp Wednesday, August 5 through Friday, August 7 at the Iowa 4-H Camping Center.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offers nutrition classes to families on limited incomes with children under age 10 or who are expecting a child. The next session of the Family Nutrition Program begins April 21st, 2015 at the Story County Extension Office, in Nevada.
