Story County 4-H Foundation Grants
The Story County 4-H Foundation Board reviews and awards grants submitted by 4-H clubs/groups or individuals quarterly.
The objectives of the grant programs are:
- To support a strong, safe, and vital 4-H program
- To support educational programs that encourage growth and excitement in youth
- To make 4-H more accessible to more youth
- To support and recognize youth and adults in the program
Individuals, families, organizations, businesses and groups may purchase recognition bricks which will be permanently installed at the Story County Fair grounds. If you order a brick by September 15, it will be placed in the 4-H Pathway to the future this fall. An engraved granite block or clay brick would make a wonderful way to remember those special times and people you know or have known in the Story County 4-H program. Bricks are available for a donation of $100 and blocks for $250. Your donation is tax deductible.
You may put up to 3 lines (14 characters per line) on a brick and up to 6 lines (14 characters per line) on a block. Logos such as a 4-H clover cost an addition $25.
If you have questions, contact Jaynee (515-733-2710) or Alison (515-382-6551), Story County Foundation 4-H Board Members. The Pathway campaign is part of the ongoing effort to grow the Story County 4-H Endowment.
The next step: Record the stories behind the people, special events, or other things commemorated by your brick(s) or block(s). We will place this information in a notebook to be shared with people and post some of the stories online. What a great way to remember the history of Story County 4-H and share it with others!
Bridges from Past to Future 4-H

"Celebrating Story County 4-H "
In 2009, artist Dean Biechler produced an original work of art which brings back memories for all of us of our days at the County Fair. The original sold for $600 at the Barns, Buttons, 'N' Bows 4-H Fundraiser last fall.
With a donation of $40, you will receive a limited edition, signed and numbered color print (11" x 14"). A packet of 10 note cards featuring the print is available for a donation of $10.
Here is a great way to support the 4-H youth of Story County and take home a wonderful memento of your 4-H years.
