The local attendance site is the Story County Extension and Outreach office. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m.  The registration fee is $35 on or before Nov. 2 and $45 after Nov. 2. Mary Wilkins began her work with ISU Extension and Outreach-Story County as the County 4-H Youth Coordinator over 14 years ago. During that time, Mary has created a vibrant 4-H program that has over 400 enrolled 4-H’ers in grades 4-12 in addition to 175 enrolled 4-H Clover Kids in Kindergarten through third grade.

“The council members elected this year will be involved in bringing educational opportunities to Story County for the next four years,” Boelman said. ISU Extension and Outreach educational programming is a cooperative effort involving local citizens, Iowa State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

  • The Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) conducts research, counsels, and trains business people in management, financing, and operating small businesses, and provides comprehensive information services and access to experts in a variety of fields.

  • The ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship is a gateway that works in two directions. In one direction, ISU faculty, researchers, and students become connected to the entrepreneurial world. In the other, Iowa's business and entrepreneurial community gain access to an array of resources and information within Iowa State University.
