The State Science + Technology Fair of Iowa is OPEN to ANY student (grades 6-12) residing in or attending school (public, private, parochial and home school) in the state of Iowa.  At this time there is NO qualifier fair (local, conference, district or regional) required for participation!

SSTFI 2017 marks the 60 year anniversary for the Fair. Please help us celebrate by posting your SSTFI stories. The fair has a long and successful history of providing opportunity for Iowa youth in science, technology, engineering and math, STEM, long before STEM was at the center of attention. This is the 60th anniversary of the Fair and we hope you would join in making this a year to remember.  We need funding to operate the event.  We currently charge no fee for youth or schools to participate in SSTFI and we want to see that continue.

The new registration system ready to go live.  Please register as soon as possible to make sure all is working for your school.  If you don’t get confirmation of registering, please let SSTFI know.

The ISEF Paperwork is available at on the resources page. In addition, please complete the Iowa fair signature page also found on the resources page for submission with student paperwork.

Plan on joining us at the 60th SSTFI.  The high school fair will be on March 30, 2017 and the junior high fair will be held on March 31, 2017.  Both events will be held at Iowa State University's Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
