Southwest Area Extension Center serves 20 counties in the Loess Hills area of Iowa. The Southwest Area staff deliver quality research-based information in agriculture, business, industry, communities, families and youth development for the benefit of all Iowans.

Located on the ISU Armstrong Research Farm near Lewis, Iowa, our office houses staff from ISU Extension, Wallace Foundation, Armstrong Research Farm, National Center for Appropriate Technology, and Tri-County Steer Carcass Futurity Cooperative
