Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach invites 2nd and 3rd grade youth to participate in Sioux County’s Discover 4-H Turkey Olympics on Nov. 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. During Turkey Olympics, youth will have the opportunity to participate in pumpkin bowling, scarecrow crafts, and many other fall activities.
The West Sioux PROSPER Team invites all middle school families within the West Sioux School District to participate in the upcoming Family Fun Night on Nov. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at CityLife Teen Center in Hawarden. The Family Fun Night will begin with a meal at 5:30 and then have games and activities for middle school youth and their parents, as well as childcare for younger siblings.
With an increasingly diverse student body, MOC-Floyd Valley School District superintendent Russ Adams wants to ensure all students’ educational needs are being met. That was the largest factor as to why the Orange City-based school system partnered with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to bring Juntos Para Una Mejor Educación to the district.

Registration is CLOSED for Fall STEM Fest 2016’ hosted by Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) and Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach 4-H and Youth Programs. Fall STEM Fest 2016 is free to attend, and will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at NCC in Sheldon. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in Building A on the NCC campus, with sessions starting at 9:00 a.m. Lunch and snacks are provided throughout the day, and a public showcase will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Voters will have the opportunity to elect four members to the Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Sioux County Council at the Nov. 8 general election. ISU Extension and Outreach educational programming is a cooperative effort involving local citizens, Iowa State University and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
