Taking the Road Less Traveled: A Career Conference for Girls”

We are excited to announce the Spring 2008 Career Conferences, “Taking the Road Less Traveled.”  Sponsored by Iowa State University’s Program for Women in Science and Engineering, the conferences goal is to expose girls, sixth through twelfth grades, to career paths within science, technology, engineering and math.  More than 2,500 individuals participate in this program each year.  In the morning participants hear from professional women; in the afternoon they participate in hands-on activities or tours.

This spring’s conferences will be held on the following dates:

            April 10th (High School = Grades 9-12)

            April 17th (Middle School = Grades 6-9)

            April 24th (Middle School = Grades 6-9)

Pay special attention to Registration Deadlines, explanations for Group Coordinators, and Career Session Preferences.  The registrations are set up as three-page PDF documents with pages one and two offering important information.

TRLT Career Conference Registration forms in addition to suggested pre- and post-conference activities are available on-line at the Program for Women in Science and Engineering website:  www.pwse.iastate.edu
