4-H Next Steps Vet Science Camp

Hands-on learning included this willing patient

Fourteen Sioux County youth participated in the "Next Steps Vet Science Camp" at the Rock Valley High School on July 27.  Alissa Brady, Region 1 Extension Summer Educator, lead thte camp.  Dr. Fred Sick and several area veterinarians were guest presenters.  Youth learned about "fright and flight," the biological sytems of animals, how to adminster shots and how a veterinarian uses facts and observations to diagnose their patients.
