Science of Parenting: Summer Vacation
“Families take vacations for many reasons – to spend time together, have some fun, or rest and relax,” said family life specialist Donna Donald. “However, these opportunities to visit other people and places and see something new can boost your child’s academic achievement.”
Donald and family life specialist Lori Hayungs will take a close look into the benefits of family vacations.
“We’ll look at national research about the relationship of family vacations and how well children perform in school. We’ll talk about how to plan a vacation and involve parents and children in decisions. We’ll also share favorite family vacation stories,” Hayungs said.
