4-H Online Re-Enrollment Deadline is December 1st
Scott County is joining the rest of the State by utilizing an online program called 4Honline. This web-based program will give 4-H families access to all of their 4-H information. It also means that 4-H families will now be required to enter information online themselves such as enrollment, livestock identification forms and State Fair entries. Instructions from the State on how to enroll or re-enroll in the 4Honline program are located here. The 4Honline web-based program is located here. Scott County will not be accepting any hard copies of enrollment forms, Code of Ethics and/or Medical Information Release Forms.
All 4-H’ers who were enrolled this past year have received a letter in the mail which included the above instructions along with the family email address that was provided to our office on your past years enrollment form. If you have not provided the Extension Office with a family email or have changed your email you MUST call the office in order to update your account so that you can re-enroll. Do not just create a new record with your new email address. The system will allow you to create a new record, but it will not allow us to approve the record because it will reflect as a duplicate. The result will be deleting the new record and then sending you an email asking you to re-enroll using the existing account. Please make sure that the email provided can be utilized by your entire family. If you would rather set up an email solely for 4Honline purposes just let the Extension Office know your new email and we can reset your account.
4Honline does not have the capability to accept online payment for the $35.00 development fee; therefore you must either mail or bring payment to our office. Once we receive payment your online enrollment submission will be approved.
- The re-enrollment deadline is December 1st by 11:59 p.m. Because December 1st falls on a Saturday the $35.00 development fee payment will be due no later than Monday, December 3rd by 4:30 p.m. (No lates or postmarks will be accepted.)
- The enrollment deadline for new members is May 15th by 11:59 p.m. The $35.00 development fee payment will be due no later than Thursday, May 16th by 4:30 p.m. (No lates or postmarks will be accepted.)
Payment can be mailed or brought to Iowa State University Scott County Extension, 875 Tanglefoot Lane, Bettendorf, IA 52722. Please add the name(s) of 4-H’er in the Memo line of check or on a note so that payment is applied to the correct enrollment. Please make checks payable to ISU Scott County Extension.
We encourage you to re-enroll early in case you have some difficulty or your internet goes down. This is your responsibility - we cannot do this for you - part of 4-H is learning personal accountability. Do this soon! Then, if you have any difficulty, we will have time to help with your questions before the deadline. If you wait, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to help everyone on the Friday before the deadline, and we will not be in the office on Saturday, December 1.
Please check your email regularly. If there are any issues with your enrollment we will be communicating with you through your provided email.
If you have started your enrollment and have not received an email back from the system saying that you are pending, please check online and make sure that you hit the "submit" button.
The instructions on enrolling that have been written by the State office are very good. Follow them and if you get stuck, give us a call. Most of the people enrolling so far have found it to be easy, but if something doesn't work for you, call us at 359-7577.
Please keep your email and password in a safe place; they will be required in order to log into 4Honline throughout the year. As always, continue to read your Scott Scoop monthly newsletters where we will provide you with all updates and instructions.
Thanks for your cooperation and welcome back to 4-H!
