It’s here!!  The inaugural year for the brand new FairEntry registration system for the 2015 State Fair 4-H Livestock & Horticulture Shows will open up on June 1.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship announced an order to cancel all live bird exhibitions at county fairs, the Iowa State Fair, and other gatherings of birds due to avian influenza.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Scott County office is hosting the "Growing Season" webinar series in June, July and August.  Gardeners will learn about creative ideas for theme gardens, planting trough gardens, water features and conservation, attracting butterflies and bees and growing herbs.

Scott County residents who would like to know more about gardening and share their knowledge with others are encouraged to sign up for the Master Gardeners course to be held September-November, 2015.

Master Gardeners with Iowa State Univeristy Extension and Outreach's Scott County Office will open their annual Horticulture Clinic beginning April 1.
