Make, Bake & Take Baking Bread Workshop June 13 (Posted on 5/9/2012)
Master Food Volunteers will be teaching 4-Her's how to safely make and bake bread and quick snacks. After spending the morning making these delicious foods, 4-Her's will have the opportunity to take home their baked bread and will have tasted the snacks.

The Iowa Master Gardener program is once again offering a series of summer webinars. The 2012 series titled "Garden Goodness" will be hosted by Iowa State University Extension county offices on the fourth Tuesday of the month, May through August. Anyone is invited to attend the series.
Upcoming Trainings for Childcare Providers (Posted on 12/28/2011)
ISU Extension and Outreach Nutrition and Health Program Specialists will conduct local trainings throughout 2012 that will count for Child Development credits.
Sac County 4-H Endowment (Posted on 12/21/2011)
The Sac County 4-H Endowment has established a grant program which will provide assistance to youth. The purpose is to encourage clubs or individual 4-H members to do community service projects, 4-H members to start new clubs, and help existing clubs with recruitment of new members.

What is COOL?
The COOL (Country of Origin Labeling) law was put into effect for fish and shellfish on April 4, 2005. The final rule for all of the other covered commodities took effect on September 30, 2008.
