do not call

Are you still getting telemarketing sales calls you don't want?  The Federal Government created the "Do Not Call" registry to make it easier and more efficient for you to reduce the number of unwanted calls you receive.  You can register online at http://donotcall.gov or call toll free 1-888-382-1222.

To further reduce calls just say, "Put me on your do not call list."  They are required to comply with your request.

Call 1-888-5-opt-out.  This service is operated by the three major credit bureaus.  It will reduce the number of pre-screened credit card offers, insurance and other offers you may receive.

Respond to annual privacy notices.  Financial institutions, insurance companies and other financial organizations are required to notify you each year of how they handle your personal information.  Reply in writing that you do not want them to share personal data.

Cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.  If you don't have minutes to waste call 888-382-1222 from your cell phone or to the website at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx to include your cell phone numbers on the registry.
