An educational outreach Academy advancing the field of parenting education

Are you a professional who works with parents? Do you want to increase your knowledge and sharpen your skills in facilitating parenting education? Do you want some new ideas and resources to use with parents you work with? If yes, then you've come to the right place!

Partnering with Parents consists of a series of 11 interactive training modules based on principles of family centered practices and parenting education theory and research. In addition to professional development, each module contains activities and other resources you can download and use in your work with parents. The National Extension Parent Education Model (NEPEM) and the National Extension Parenting Educators' Framework (NEPEF) are incorporated in this training. Full series - 11 modules offered January 19 - June 18, 2010. 
Registration: $600; If you are earning graduate or undergraduate credit, the registration fee is reduced to $300. Tuition is billed. An ISU Extension Parenting Education Certificate of Completion, social worker hours and teacher renewal credits available. Registration now open!
