10. When working on a public policy issue it is essential that everyone share similar points of view.

The involvement of individuals with varying views is critical to achieving successful policy. Many policy issues arise from conflict between groups of individuals. By creating an environment that allows for conflicting beliefs allows for a productive resolution process.

Other elements that are necessary for public policy education are:

arrow graphicIdentified Goals, those that are identified as being contrasting and those that share a common basis.

arrow graphicSeek Mutually Acceptable Solutions by using an alternative/consequence process and group brainstorming.

arrow graphicRealization that the Process is Continual, as not all consequences can be anticipated.

arrow graphicEvaluation to determine what worked during the process and the effect of the resolution.
