Program: Travel with experts and study a theme or
geographic region for four to seven days. No prior subject knowledge is
required, only a desire for lifelong learning. Some courses stay in one city,
with daily field trips and excursions. Other courses travel by chartered coach
or boat from city to city, stopping at places of interest and overnight in
hotels along the route.
Audience: All adults of any age. See details of each program for physical ability requirements.
Estimated Fee: Course fees are all-inclusive, including all hotels, every meal, instructors, entry fees, activity supplies, chartered coach, boat cruises, group leader and even all gratuities. Fees range from $888 to $1228 for a seven-day program.
Location: Throughout Iowa and neighboring states, determined by the course subject.
Availability: Typically, five to seven days in length from April through October

- Exploring Unusual Societies: A Touch of History, A Taste of Utopia" (travels by chartered coach through Southeast Iowa)
- "Upper Mississippi River Reflections: Historic Towns, Trails and Tales (explores the river on three types of boat cruises and by chartered coach on the Great River Road in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin)
