Program:
The Municipal Clerks Institute provides educational credit toward professional certifications, including Certified Municipal Clerk, Certified Iowa Municipal Clerk, Certified Municipal Finance Officer and Iowa Certified Administrator.
In addition to the Institute, the Academy is a continuing education program offered to those wishing to retain their certifications.

Estimated Fee: Each course which is roughly 4 hours in length costs $40.00 Since there are 100 hours required for either the CMC or the Iowa Certification the total cost is about $1,000.00. Under the Iowa Certification an individual can seek multiple certifications each of which requires 25 hours of specialized courses at a cost of about $250. The Academy consists of 16 hours at a total cost of about $160.
Location: Both the Institute and Academy are held in Ames, Iowa
Availability: Registration normally opens for the Institute in February and the Academy in April
Delivery Schedule: Varies based on how many courses and individual wishes to take during the two weeks the courses are offered
