Introduction to Plan and Zoning workshops (on-request workshops)

Program: This three-hour program will be delivered on request to cities, counties, or other groups. It is designed to introduce the basic concepts of planning and zoning to local officials. Topics include the comprehensive plan, Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, and the roles of elected councils and boards, the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment in land use decision-making.

Audience: Local (city and county) elected and apointed officials; interested citizens.

Sponsor/Provider: College of Design, Department of Community and Regional Planning

Estimated Fee: $600 per workshop. The $600 fee includes speaker travel, instruction, and instructional materials for up to 25 attendees.  Additional attendees may be added for a small fee to cover instructional materials.
