The Poweshiek County Master Gardeners will be hosting the second session of the three-session series "Totally Trees" at the Drake Community Library located at 930 Park Street in Grinnell, Iowa on Thursday, August 14, 2014. There is no charge, but a free-will donation is appreciated. This session, open to the general public, will last from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will be held in the Community Room.
This session, entitled "Tree Pests: Emerald Ash Borer and Beyond," will provide participants with information on a variety of Iowa pests and management techniques. The guest speakers for this session, ISU Extension Entomologists Donald Lewis and Mark Shour, will be discussing recent tree pests, including the Emerald Ash Borer, and their impact on Iowa's landscape.
