Grinnell, Iowa― ISU Extension and Outreach is conducting farmland leasing meetings in 10 different site in Central Iowa during late July and August. Meeting sites include Boone, Altoona, Nevada, Grinnell, Knoxville, Adel, Newton, Indianola, Marshalltown and Winterset and are coordinated by county ISU Extension and Outreach offices.

Poweshiek Leadership Program graduated its 2012-2013 participants May 9th at the English Valley Bed and Breakfast in Montezuma.  This year’s class consisted of twenty people that live or work in Poweshiek County.  Each participant is also sponsored by a local business or organization.

The “Managing for Today and Tomorrow” is a five –session course offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. This is a new Annie’s Project Course program that was held on Monday nights starting April 8th, 2013 through May 6th at Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg.

 Iowa farmers who perform custom work, hire work done, or some of both have the 2013 Iowa Farm Custom Rate Survey schedule as a guide in determining custom rates.

This information is based on a survey of 249 Iowa farmers, custom operators, and farm managers.  For each operation, the average rate from the survey and the range are shown.
