Information for Private and Commercial Applicator Training Programs as well as Integrated Pest Management can be found on the above website. 

Private and Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification Exams are conducted at the DMACC Campus is Ankeny.  Annual re-certification continuing instructional courses (CIC) are available at local county extension offices.

Courses vary in cost.  Some commercial pesticide categories have scheduled re-show dates.  Commercial pesticide course registrations must be made with payment to reserve space in classes.  Registrations received after the inital deadline - or less than seven days prior to the initial showing (printed at the bottom of each registration page) are subject to a $10 late fee.

Information about Commercial and Confinement Applicator Certifications are available at the above website.

Certification is available by watching a 3-hour satellite downlink at select county extension offices in January each year, viewing a 3-hour training video at your local county extension office, or by scheduling an appointment to take (and pass) the applicator exam at your local DNR Field Office.

There is no fee for attending scheduled trainings, however, applicators requesting to view the training materials on dates not scheduled will be charged a fee of $10 per person.  Scheduled events are posted on the Extension Calendar.
