Polk County Resources and Events

ISU Extension in Polk County has several resources to help you manage these tough times.  Some upcoming events we are offering are listed here.  Visit this site often for new opportunities.  We also recommend visiting the statewide website on Managing Tough Times.  Several links to Extension programs are easy to access from that site. 

FREE Nutrition Education to Low-Resource Families
Families with children up to 10 years of age or expecting parents can receive eight nutrition lessons in their home or another convenient location.  These lessons include how to save money, save time and help you with new ways to provide your family with healthy, low cost choices including physical activity.  Visit the Polk County EFNEP Program web site for more details.
