The Greenhouse is located at the Des Moines Botanical & Environmental Center, 909 Robert D Ray Drive, Des Moines.

The purpose of the Greenhouse Project is to provide a workshop environment for Master Gardeners to be successful with:

• Seeding
• Transplanting
• Plant propagation
• Ordering the seeds for the gardens and plant sale
• Growing the various plants requested by the Master Gardener project gardens

Plant Sale

The purpose of the Plant Sale Project is to generate income by profitably selling all excess plants by:

• Marketing extensively to the public
• Conducting the sale in an organized fashion

The 2008 plant sale will be held the weekend of May 3 from 8:30 to 4:30 and May 4 from 12:30 to 4:30.  The sale will be held at the greenhouse.
