The Polk County 4-H and FFA Fair is operated by the Polk County 4-H and FFA Fair Association. The ISU Extension, Polk County office and the local FFA Chapters work in close cooperation with the Fair Board to carry out the fair.

The Fair Board meets every third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Polk County Extension Office located at 5201 NE 14th Street, Suite A, Des Moines, IA  50313

Fair books, entry forms, entry tags, and other forms are available from the 4-H Club, FFA Chapter, or the ISU Extension, Polk County office or contact Erin Pierce, County Youth Coordinator at ekpierce@iastate.edu

Fair 2008 Update!

The Fairboard did a final walkthrough this past Monday July 7th.  Due to construction at the state fairgrounds there will be a number of new difficulties and changes from what has been done in past years.  The Fairboard appreciates your understanding and patience with these challenges, as we all look forward to an improved fairgrounds for next year.  The following map illustrates what the fairgrounds will look like for this year.  This is the most up to date information about what to expect at this year's Polk County Fair, but please check back often between now and the fair, as we will be updating this information if and as it changes.
