Fun In Residence
Fun in Residence is a 6 to 10 hour program that gives young people the chance to experiment with food and stay physically active.  It can be scheduled for up to 20 kids, taught in one to three installments.

When does the program occur?
Available from June 4 through August 17, 2007
Weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm

What age is the program for?
For School-Age Kids grades 1-8.  Must have completed kindergarten. 
The program works best if there is no more than 3 years age difference among the kids.

Cost: $250 (negotiable); this fee covers 1 or 2 adults plus all the supplies for the projects.

NoteYour agency must supply at least one staff member to help with every 10 kids.

Feature Curriculum:  Food and Fun Around the World
Play games, make snacks and do art each day.
Choices will include:

Egypt-Paper making and Apple Mummies
Food:  Spiced Oranges and Raisins
 
Guatemala-Worry dolls;
Food:  Guatemala baked beans
 
India- Rangoli, which is similar to sandpainting
Food:  Mango Chutney Spinach Salad
 
Native America,Ojibwe Tribe-the Dream Catcher
Food:  Indian Tacos
 
Ukraine-Pysanky/egg decorating and Paper Cutting
Food:  Pumpkin and Rice Pudding
