Continuing Instructional Courses (CIC) begin October 15, 2014. For registration forms go to http://www.extension.iastate.edu/PME. Select the Pesticide Applicator Training Program tab, then click on the Commercial Applicator Training Information option. Mail form and payment to Polk County Extension and Outreach, Attn: Deb Baker, 1625 Adventureland Drive - Suite A, Altoona, IA. 50009. To avoid late registration fees, your form and payment must be received by the deadline shown on the form. Contact Deb Baker at dabaker@iastate.edu with questions.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will conduct Level 1 and Level 2 workshops covering Good Agricultural Practices for fruit and vegetable producers beginning in October. The 6th annual Fall Horticulture Conference will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.  ISU Extension and Outreach - Polk County will host this six session conference to provide information for the home gardener.  Be sure not to miss nationally recognized gardening expert Melinda Myers as the keynote speaker.
