ISU Extension - Polk County is hosting a Fall Perennials Conference on Saturday, November 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. It will be a full day of valuable information about perennials for all seasons in the Midwest. The keynote speaker will be Roy Klehm of Beaver Creek Nursery in Poplar Grove, IL and Klehm's Song Sparrow Farm and Nursery in Avalon, WI.

Craig Griffieon of Ankeny has won the 2009 Toyota “Clover” Corolla in the second annual Iowa 4-H Vehicle Raffle. The drawing was held Oct. 9 over the noon hour on WHO Radio’s The Big Show to culminate National 4-H Week.
