02/15/2012- Private Pesticide Applicator Training
Continuing education for Private Pesticide Applicators. Two hours of instruction is required annually for re-certification.

02/21/2012- Commercial Manure Applicators' Certification Reshow
This training program will meet the needs of Commercial Manure Applicators to fulfill their required three (3) hours of annual training for the manure applicator certification program.

02/21/2012- Confinement Site Manure Applicators' Certification Reshow
Continuing education for (re)certification for the Confinement Site Manure Applicators. The two-hour program will fulfill the annual certification requirement. Topics will include land application rules, applicator safety, H2S safety and concerns, and manure nutrients for crop production.

Financial security begins early in life and continues each time we choose to spend, save or invest our money. Women of all ages who are interested in taking charge of their finances are invited to attend Money Talk: A Financial Guide for Women.

03/01/2012- "Just A Bite" - Managing Food Allergies in Childcare
Iowa State University Pocahontas County Extension and Outreach is offering training for child care providers that helps to identify signs and symptoms of food allergies and common food allergens for children. The incidence of food allergies is on the rise, increasing the chances that childcare providers will have a child with food allergies in the

Exams are administered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) for private and commercial pesticide applicators.

03/07/2012- Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators CIC
Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 2, 3O, 3T, 3OT, and 10.

03/07/2012- Iowa State University Extension and Outreach 2nd and 3rd Grade After School Program
All 2nd and 3rd grade students in Pocahontas County are encouraged to attend the ISUEO after school program each month. Each session will offer children a snack, hands on educational program, and physical exercise.
