11/12/2009- ISU Afterschool
Children in 2nd and 3rd grade are encourage to attend ISU Afterschool. Each month a different subject area will be covered. There will be an after school snack, physical activity, educational presentation and hands on activity. The fee of $15 covers ALL 7 programs. 11/15/2009- 4-H Awards Day
All 4-H'ers and their families are invited to the awards presentation and movie.

11/18/2009- Commercial Ag Weed, Insect, and Plant Disease Management CIC
Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10. Participants should be seated by 8:55 a.m. for the beginning of the satellite program.

11/21/2009- "Accept the Challenge" Leadership Event
4-H'ers and adults representing ISU Extension on 4-H County Youth Councils in Region 6 are encouraged to attend this leadership workshop. This workshop will be held in Storm Lake Iowa at the ISU Buena Vista County Extension Office.

11/23/2009- Pocahontas County Extension Council Meeting
The Pocahontas County Extension Council will hold its monthly meeting to identify programming needs, approve financial vouchers, and address other issues related to ISU Extension - Pocahontas County.

12/01/2009- Grain Fumigation CIC
Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7C and 10. Participants are asked to be seated by 8:55 a.m. for the beginning of the program.

12/02/2009- Pest Control Operators CIC
Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7A, 7B, 8 and 10. Participants are asked to be seated by 8:55 a.m. for the beginning of the program.

12/28/2009- Pocahontas County Extension Council Meeting
The Pocahontas County Extension Council will hold its monthly meeting to identify programming needs, approve financial vouchers, and address other issues related to ISU Extension - Pocahontas County.

01/02/2010- Pocahontas County Beef Weigh In
All cattle that will be exhibited at the 2010 Pocahontas County Fair will need to be weighed in at this time. If you have beef animals that need to be entered in the State Fair please contact the office for special instructions!

05/15/2010- LIVESTOCK ID SHEETS DUE
All 4-H'ers exhibiting livestock at the 2010 Pocahontas County Fair must have their livestock ID's turned in no later than May 15, 2010.
