The Pest Management and the Environment (PME) team is responsible for Pesticide Applicator Training (PAT) in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS). It is also involved with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the Iowa efforts in the North Central Integrated Pest Management Center as well as other related environmental programs.

Pesticide Applicator Testing ChangesPrivate and commercial pesticide applicator certification exams are available at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) campus in Ankeny. Exams are Web-based. Applicators taking the exam at DMACC will need to have a user name and password prior to going to the test center. More information on getting a user name and password, and additional testing information can be found on the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) Website http://www.iowaagriculture.gov/Pesticide/Onlinepesticidetesting.asp.
