County Extension groups across Iowa are joining together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Iowa State University beginning in April 2007. County Extension Councils and local Extension staff are planning a wide variety of community service projects, ranging from tree planting to building rehabilitation to community beautification efforts.
Local alumni of Iowa State University, students currently enrolled at the university, and a broad range of community service groups are being invited to participate in the celebrations planned for each of Iowa's 100 county extension districts.
