January 26, 2015

Palo Alto County Extension will again be sponsoring two Babysitting Clinics for all youth ages 10 and up.  The first clinic will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 9:00-4:00 at the Palo Alto County Extension meeting room.  The second clinic will be held on Saturday, February 21st, same time and place.  Participants only need to attend one of the clinics.  Sessions will include Basic First Aid/CPR taught by an EMT person from the Palo Alto County Hospital, Babysitting Responsibilities, Basic Care, and Safe Play.  Sessions will include hands-on activities and take home materials.

Come learn how to make your dollar stretch at  the grocery store. Take a late lunch on Jan 30, 2015 and joins us from 1 to 2pm at Willow Ridge Activity Room for Spend Smart Eat Smart. There is no cost to attend this class!!

Palo Alto, Pocahontas, and Calhoun County Extension and Outreach offices will be holding a Tractor and Machine Safety course for all 14 and 15 years on MArch 6, 7, 20 and 21. Attendance at all four days are mandatory. Class is limited to 25 so register early. This is a course that is required by law if your son or daughter will be working off the family farm.
