05/15/2008- Bucket/Bottle Calf
All ID's for bucket/bottle calves are due into the county office on May 15th. You must have your calves indentification papers in by this date to take them to the 2008 Palo Alto County Fair.

05/19/2008- Palo Alto County Fair Board
The Palo Alto County Fair Board will be holding a monthly meeting every 3rd Monday of 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Palo Alto County Extension Office in Emmetsburg.

05/21/2008- Horse Practices for Palo Alto County Fair
Horse practice for the Palo Alto County Fair for all 4-H exhibitors will begin on Wednesday, May 21st at the Fair grounds and will continue every Wednesday until the Fair in July. Time is 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Contact Ronia Klootwyk for further information.

05/22/2008- Spring Leader's Training
The second mandatory Leader's Training will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at the Palo Alto County Extension Office from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. All 4-H Leaders must attend this training or contact the office to watch the video to maintain their leader status.

05/27/2008- Palo Alto County Extension Council
There will be a meeting of the Palo Alto County Extension Council on the 4th Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m. We will be holding our Public Budget meeting first before proceeding to our regular meeting.

06/17/2008- FSQA Certificiation Training
This will be a last chance FSQA certification training for both Palo Alto and Kossuth County. It will be held at Sentral Fenton School on Tuesday, June 17th at 7:00 p.m. Please call your local county offices to pre-register for this class; as space is limited!

07/24/2008- 2008 Palo Alto County Fair
The dates for the 2008 Palo Alto County Fair are: Thursday, July 24-Sunday,July 27th. The 4-H Judging day will held on Tuesday, July 22nd in the 4-H Exhibit bldg.

09/23/2008- Palo Alto County Extension Council
There will be a meeting of the Palo Alto County Extension Council on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. We will be holding our Public Budget meeting first before proceeding to our regular meeting.

12/15/2008- Palo Alto County Beef Weigh-in
Palo Alto County's beef weigh-in for the 2008 Palo Alto County Fair will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15th at the Fair grounds from noon to 3:00 p.m. All 4-H & FFA members must weigh in thier market steers, market heifers and feeder pens for them to be eligible to show at the county or district fairs. We are planning to do the retinal imaging instead

09/17/2009- Fair Board Meeting
The Palo Alto County Fair Board will be holding its' monthly meeting on Monday, September 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Palo Alto County Extension Office
