February 4, 2016

Sign up now for the 2016 Palo Alto County Clover Kid Lock-In scheduled for Friday, March 4th from 7:00 PM to midnight at the Smith Wellness Center in Emmetsburg.  This event is for all Clover Kid members in Palo Alto County.  Cost is $10.00 and includes pop and pizza at 9:00 PM.  Pre-registration is required.  Deadline to register is March 2nd.

January 11, 2016

Palo Alto County Extension will again be sponsoring two Babysitting Clinics for all youth ages 10 and up.  The 1st program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6th from 9:00-4:00 in the Extension Office meeting room.  The 2nd program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20th, same time and place.  Cost is $25 to cover materials and a handbook.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.  Youth only need to attend one of the trainings.  Pre-registration is required.

Join us Saturday, February 13th for the 2016 Northwest Iowa Beef Bonanza to be held at the ILCC campus in Emmetsburg from 9:45 AM to 4:00 PM.  Cost is $5 per person and adults are welcome.  If you have any interest in learning what the beef industry is all about you won't want to miss this event!

    Every June, 1000 teenagers converge on the Iowa State University campus for 3 days of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet, and community service activities. If you've completed 8th-12th grade, you're eligible to attend. Non-4-H members are welcome.

  • Youth and teens can discover opportunities to be recognized for personal growth, project learning, leadership and citizenship. 

  • Clover Kids is a FUN 4-H program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children participate in hands-on activities designed to build many life skills!
