Does your tree have

5 or more leaflets in a palmately arranged leaf - - leaflets all attach to the leaf stem at the same place (hand-shaped)

or

3 or more leaflets in a pinnately arranged leaf - - leaflets are arranged along both sides of a common midrib; with or without a terminal leaflet
