Aug. 21 Webinar on Drought-Related Crop Issues Available for Viewing

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach broadcast a webinar Tuesday, Aug. 21 about the influence of drought on aflatoxin and other diseases, feed implications, harvest considerations and livestock and crop market options. The webinar was recorded and is now available for viewing. The webinar was recorded in three segments:
- Introduction, Aflatoxin and Diseases
- Feed Implications and Harvest
- Future Considerations – Livestock options and Crop Markets
ISU Extension and Outreach agriculture and program specialists facilitated the program at over 50 locations, responded to questions and submitted questions for webinar presenters to answer. Questions and answers from the Aug. 21 webinar also are now available.

Upcoming Swine Webinar
In response to the current drought situation facing Iowa pork producers, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach swine program specialists will host a webinar on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at various locations. The program is free and no preregistration is required, according to ISU Extension swine program specialist Dave Stender.
