The Extension Council meeting will be held on September 8, 2015, at 8 p.m. at the Page County Extension office. If you cannot attend, call me by 1:15 p.m. on September 8.

Rachael Bair and Kayla Farwell will be presenting a 10- to 15-minute presentation on Citizenship Washington Focus.

Items on the tentative agenda include:
• Approve financial reports and expenditures (vote)
• Maybe a Building report (possible vote)
• Page County Personnel Policy and Procedures (possible vote)
• Page County Schedule of Findings (possible vote)
• Pay for lunch for staff attending the luncheon for Cathann Kress on September 22 (possible vote)
• Approve 4-H volunteers (possible vote)
• Page County Extension program updates and upcoming events (possible vote)
• ISU Extension and Outreach updates and reports from Program Specialists (possible vote)

The Farm Leasing Arrangements meeting will give landowners, tenants, and agri-business professionals information and materials they need to make decisions regarding farmland ownership, management, and leasing practices.

Students gold the edges of plastic sheets together that will eventually be connected by duct tape Friday, May 1, in Wibholm Hall at the Page County Fairgrounds. About 120 sixth-grade students from Clarinda, Essex, Sheandoah and South Page attended.  With help from Iowa State University Extension, students built living quarters as if they were on the planet Mars. Box fans were used to erect the housing. The annual project was part of a study on space and space exploration.
