Kaye is responsible for providing educational programming in the application of knowledge, grounded in research-based science, to help Iowans and the agriculture industry prosper. More specifically, Kaye develops partnerships to be able to educate Iowans on social values related to livestock production, environmental, soil and water conservation issues as well as the importance of sharing the road.

Additionally, she provides assistance to producers on how to effectively educate consumers, youth and neighbors on the story of agriculture and what society and neighbors expect of them resulting in a safe, wholesome and desired food product. Kaye’s primary counties include Sioux, O'Brien, Lyon, and Osceola in northwest Iowa.

Kaye comes to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach with a wealth of personal, educational and professional experience and knowledge in Agriculture and Natural Resources. Kaye hails from Gilbert, Iowa where she was heavily involved growing up in 4-H, FFA and played an active role in her families small Angus cow/calf business.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University as well as a Master of Science Degree in Agriculture Education and Extension Education from Iowa State University.  Additionally, Kaye holds an Iowa 5th-12th grade Teaching License with endorsements in Agriculture, Agriscience, Agribusiness and Biological Sciences.
