Agriculture and Natural Resources Intern
Sioux, O'Brien, Lyon and Osceola Agriculture and Natural Resources Intern during the 2012-2013 academic school year. Christina is currently a senior at Dordt College in Sioux Center majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Business. Christina’s previous work experience, college activities, leadership experiences and overall knowledge of the agriculture industry make her an excellent addition to the ISU Extension and Outreach team.
As the Agriculture and Natural Resources Intern, Christina will work as a team member with ISU Extension and Outreach staff, extension council members, and community partners striving to shape and develop our K-12 Outreach programming efforts in Agriculture and Natural Resources. By connecting Iowa youth with Iowa State University’s knowledge and research based information, Christina’s efforts will help them achieve their fullest potential. Some of Christina’s projects for the upcoming year include: the direct planning and delivery of a one day school-enrichment program focused on enhancing agriculture awareness and literacy; coordination, writing and dissemination of our weekly Horticulture Clipping articles; direct planning and delivery of our Vet Tech Camp program; and the direct planning and delivery of the new interactive Agronomy/Crop/Landscape Science Camp.
