Work with adults in northwest Iowa to create and support family life programs. As a team member, work with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach staff, council members and community partners to build interest in family life while educating and training an adult support system to take learning into the next programming year. Magazines and cooking shows are full of articles and recipes about whole grains. Iowa State University Extension provides a free, downloadable publication with the basic cooking directions, yield when cooked, nutrition notes and facts, and serving suggestions for 20 different whole grains. It also explains the difference between whole and refined grains.
