Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking volunteers (high school students and older) to assist Northwest Iowa youth learn about the expanding field of robotics and automation! Come be a part of an exciting and innovative experience that youth can’t wait to participate in!   This past year, 25 adult 4-H volunteers helped 96 middle school aged youth in 4-H to learn about communication skills, technical design, programming, and robotics. This past year, GEAR TECH 21 robotics camps resulted in the creation of seven middle school 4-H robotic clubs.  In FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (robotics) competitions this fall, area teams represented the following communities: Spirit Lake, Okoboji, Spencer, Sibley, Sanborn, Hospers, Sioux Center, Orange City, and Hull.  Please consider helping us expand these opportunities to even more communities!
