The family of Everand & Gladys McDowell of Primghar have been supporting the O’Brien County 4-H program for nearly 50 Years.  Today we would like to recognize members of that family – Brad & Jane  and Dudley & Carol McDowell.   These two couples, along with their children have played a major role in making the O’Brien County 4-H program the success it is today.  Brad has been a leader of the Center Farmers 4-H Club for 15 years, and as a Fairboard member and livestock superintendent, has been helping run the scale at weigh-ins for many years.

Dudley is a 21-year leader of the Eagle Musketeers 4-H club, as well as a fair board member and sheep superintendent and is responsible for the success of the advanced feeder lamb project at the O’Brien County Fair.   Carol is also a 10-year club leader and Jane supports Brad with club and county activities including serving the buyer’s lunch at the fair.  As elementary school teachers, these ladies are O’Brien Counties biggest promoters of the 4-H program to their students!  The McDowell family  always has the best interest of the O’Brien County youth at heart.

Thank you for your many years of service!
