Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will host ‘A Sappy Story: Making Maple Syrup in Iowa’ on Saturday, March 18 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Orange City Public Library. The program will feature Darla Eeten of Goodeetens Produce Farm. Eeten markets her own maple syrup made from sap collected at her local farm. She will demonstrate how to tap a tree, share how to cook the sap to make syrup, and offer tastings of both the sap and the syrup.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach invites family caregivers to participate in the five-session Finances of Caregiving course beginning March 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

A grant writing workshop is scheduled to be presented in Orange City. Representatives of nonprofits, local government and schools are invited to attend the workshop. The workshop is titled Grant Writing 101, and will provide hands-on training in seeking and writing successful grant applications.
