The Northwest Area Education Association and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach invite Iowa educators to learn how to teach the High School Financial Planning Program April 24 in Sioux City. The workshop will feature this curriculum that addresses student hands-on learning in money management, borrowing, earning power, investing, financial services and insurance.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach invites family caregivers to participate in the five-session Finances of Caregiving course beginning March 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Young dairy farmers seeking to improve the production of their cows and fine-tune their dairy business are invited to participate in the winter Dairy Start to Farm series. The purpose of the Dairy Start to Farm series is to give young dairy farmers who are within their first 10 to 12 years of farming the opportunity to share ideas and learn about new resources available to them. The Dairy Start to Farm: Herd Health and Records program will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Campus Center Board Room at Dordt College, located at 498 4th Ave. NE in Sioux Center.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is now accepting registrants for Annie’s Project, a program focused on empowering women in agriculture, to be held in Sibley during Feb. and March 2017. Annie’s Project is a six-session course created to guide women in making good decisions for their farm business. It will be held at the Osceola Community Hospital Education Room in Sibley beginning Thursday, Feb. 23 and continuing every Thursday through March 30. There will be a meal at 5:30 p.m. and the session will last from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
