Iowa has changed vendors and names for the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) test. Iowa is now offering the chance to earn your HSED by studying for and taking the HiSET test. Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) offers free classes to prepare you for the HiSET test.

Sign up for FREE English classes through Northwest Iowa Community College! All levels of English Language Learners are welcome. Classes are offered at various locations and times. Please call Sarah Breems-Diekevers at (800) 352-4907 to sign up for any of the classes!

Northwest Iowa - Local foods are making an economic impact in Iowa. In fact, sales of food produced in northwest Iowa added $312,441 to the local economy in 2012 as reported by eighteen farmers in the northwest region.

When is the last time you checked your credit report? Do you know you can check your credit rating for FREE?. Did you know, a Federal Trade Commision Study found that  5% of consumers had errors on ther credit reports?

  • Nonprofit Management Academies enhance the management skills of those serving nonprofit sector.

  • Reports of recent and historical trends in the local retail trade sector by city.

  • Helping the College of Engineering and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach carry out their land-grant university mission to improve the quality of life in Iowa by enhancing the performance of Iowa industry.

  • The CVC facilitates networking among small and medium size rural communities, sponsors policy analyses, engages communities in dialogue, and fosters discussion among rural and urban interests.

  • Data on each county in Iowa including population demographics, education, retail sales, personal income, employment, occupation, housing, and family characteristics.

  • Provides opportunities for youth to develop skills they can use now and throughout their life, empowering them to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults.

  • Specialists have compiled a list of resources to help you prepare for and recover from natural disasters. Remember to take care of yourself and your family first; then deal with the things lost to the disaster.
